What Makes Week II First-Timer Friendly?

  • A welcoming community that knows new families are joining

  • A natural mix of returning and brand-new guests

  • Clear daily rhythms that make it easy to jump in

  • Space to participate at your own comfort level

You don’t have to know anyone. You don’t have to understand “how it works.” You just have to show up!

Why Families Try It Once… And Come Back Every Year

Because something shifts.

Kids grow in confidence. Parents reconnect. Conversations go deeper. Phones stay in pockets. Faith becomes shared, not separate.

Family Camp becomes part of your story.

What Does a Week Look Like?

  • Mornings
Kids enjoy age-specific classes filled with Bible teaching, games, and friendships. Adults gather for a session with Peter Amerman, a Department Chair and Professor at Pillar College and then fun and varied electives. (Kid free time!)

  • Afternoons
Pool time. River activities. Snack Shop Tournaments. Movies. Explore the Poconos. Free time to nap — or not. Anything your heart desires.

  • Evenings
Kids and teens have age specific classes again, adults enjoy worship and sessions with Ed Nugent, Pastor of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Brethren Church in Minot, ND. Then the whole family can enjoy all-camp activities and theme nights, or just fellowship in our Snack Shop.

You can participate in everything — or take the week at your own pace.

FOR KIDS

Age-specific programming
Caring, trained volunteers
Creative classes
High-energy games
Friendships that form fast — and often last for years

Your kids won’t be bored. They’ll be counting down to next summer.

FOR ADULTS

Family Camp is not just “kids camp with parents nearby.”

It’s:

Meaningful adult teaching
Worship that refocuses your heart
Conversations that go deeper
Built-in family time
Space to actually rest

You don’t have to plan meals.
You don’t have to organize activities.
You just show up, we take care of the rest.

Accommodations & Meals

Comfortable lodging options for families of all sizes.
Delicious meals prepared daily - with medically necessary special diet accommodations available.

We weren’t sure what to expect, but by the end of the week our kids were begging to come back. It was the easiest vacation we’ve ever taken.
