Looking Back with Gratitude, Moving Forward in Faith

As we look back on this year, we’re reminded again of God’s steady faithfulness. So often, the whole path isn’t revealed to us - just the next step. A need appears, and God provides. Time after time, He has done so through people like you.
Last year, we knew that 2025 would be the time to renovate the Chapel, a building that has served as everything from the first home of a local church, to a dining room, to a craft space. We didn’t yet know how the project would unfold, but God did. Through generous donors and dedicated volunteers, the Chapel is now renewed and ready for decades of ministry ahead and was dedicated in memory of Herb Jacobsen, Tuscarora’s former director of 30 years.
We also celebrated the retirement of Steve Daly after forty-two years of faithful service in Food Service. Entrusting such a cherished role to someone new felt daunting, yet God had already prepared the way. We are grateful to welcome Michael Barootjian to lead our talented team. He is uniquely gifted for this next chapter.
And years ago, the Rooted Gap Year Program was only a dream. Today, thanks to God’s provision through partners, leaders, and supporters, we are now investing in our second class of students. What began as a prayer has become a thriving program sustained by generosity.
Each story echoes the same truth: God provides through His people.
As we look toward 2026, we continue trusting Him for the work ahead. Two long-awaited projects - the renovation of the Dogwood Cottages and the Snack Shop and Bookstore - are ready to move forward. With donor support, both can become refreshed, welcoming spaces for guests next year.
