Fall is one of the most meaningful times to step away from the busyness of life and retreat with God. At Tuscarora, our campus becomes a canvas of color, our meeting rooms fill with voices lifted in worship, and guests find rest, fellowship, and renewal.
Whether you’re here for Men’s Retreat, Women’s Retreat, or Work Week, autumn offers the perfect backdrop to pause and reconnect. Fall is also one of the best times to bring your group and there are still open weekends available.
When you’re not gathered for sessions, meals, or times of reflection, there are so many ways to enjoy the season right here on campus and just minutes away.

TAKE IN FALL FOLIAGE
Did you know Pennsylvania boasts one of the longest fall foliage seasons in the country? With the Appalachian Trail and Delaware Water Gap right at our doorstep, the views are spectacular. Whether you’re hiking, driving, or simply pausing to soak it in, your memories (and your photos!) will capture the wonder of God’s handiwork.

GO ON AN OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
Tuscarora is surrounded by some of the most beautiful hiking trails and overlooks in the region. Within minutes you can find yourself on the Appalachian Trail, exploring the Delaware Water Gap, or walking the scenic trails at Worthington State Forest. Fall brings crisp air, stunning views, and plenty of opportunities to pause and reflect.

GO APPLE PICKING
A fall classic - and for good reason! Mackey’s Orchard in Belvidere, NJ grows over 100 varieties of apples. The hayride to the orchard makes it a true country experience. While you’re there, stock up on pumpkins, mums, cider, and other fall favorites. Perfect for a Saturday outing with friends or family.

GET LOST IN A CORN MAZE
Looking for family fun? Head to Mazezilla in Saylorsburg, PA—just 30 minutes from Tuscarora. This 11-acre corn maze changes its design every year and is packed with fun twists and turns. Along with the maze, you’ll find hayrides, pumpkin picking, and other classic fall farm activities. It’s the perfect outing for families, youth groups, or anyone who wants a lighthearted adventure.

VISIT THE LAKOTA WOLF PRESERVE
Just across the bridge in Columbia, NJ lies a hidden gem: the Lakota Wolf Preserve. You can see British Columbian, Timber, and Arctic wolves up close, as well as bobcats and foxes, during daily Wolf Watch tours. It’s unforgettable!

WANDER THE EASTON FARMERS’ MARKET
Only 35 minutes from Tuscarora, the Easton Farmers’ Market is the oldest continuous open-air market in the nation. Browse fresh produce, pasture-raised meats, artisanal cheeses, and handcrafted goods while enjoying a festive fall atmosphere. Come hungry - there are plenty of ready-to-eat treats too!
